Antonin .B Hair Serum & Honey Butter

If you like promoting young brands as I do, Kendy and her 1-year-old baby called Antonin .B may be interesting for you.

You can read everything about her story on her website but I am going to tell you about her products and how they worked for me.

Her line is pretty small right now, she is only selling 2 products to start with plus some hair care items like luxurious brushes. The two wonderful products mentioned are described in detail below:

Intense Honey Butter

  • for texture in your hair (I can imagine the honey butter is perfect for styling that messy bob or knot that looks effortless while actually caring for your hair)

The picture on the left shows freshly washed and dried hair before I used the Intense Honey Butter. The right one shows how a tiny bit of product accentuates my natural waves and reduces that frizzy appearance.

I use the intense honey butter after I washed my hair and dried it / let it air dry (most of the time). With the spatula that comes with the product I scratch a pea-sized amount or even less out of the dark glass container and rub it between my hands and fingers. The balm then liquefies and turns your hands oily and shiny. Then I run through the lower length of my hair with my fingers and especially concentrate on my hair ends while I try to get all of the product from my hands to my hair. You can use this butter to moisturize your hair or even to create texture with it. If you run your hands repeatedly through your hair with a certain movement, your hair will hold this shape better than without.

Note that the honey butter contains…honey! So it is not vegan (also because it contains beeswax [cera alba]). I personally would prefer a vegan product because I think honey is too valuable to put it in my hair but if you don’t mind, this butter is definitely worth a try and will last foreveeeeeer. I need to ask Kendy whether she is thinking about switching her formulation to a vegan one…

The price point is 42 $.

As you can see for yourself, both products are mighty fine in regard to composition and design and also the scent. Nothing fancy, nothing to overwhelming.

My favourite is the Intense Butter because I never had a product like this before that nourishes AND texturizes your hair and makes it easier to make them look like they should. It eases up the process of braiding and fixing some stray stands escaping from the overall hairstyle.
