Kahina Giving Beauty – Toning Mist and Night Cream

At the moment I am really really lucky regarding giveaways… There was a lot of stuff sent to me and I am now happily testing international natural cosmetics. Like these luxurious products from KAHINA Giving Beauty.DSC04688

I got the night cream as well as the toning mist and am quite happy with both of them until now. I always use the toner after cleansing and apply the cream right afterwards when the skin is still damp.

The packaging is looking so well and is practical, too. The dark glass jars prevent the product from getting too much light so the shelf life is extended. Also the heavy glass jars feel good in your hands and they are a joy for your eyes for sure, too.

About the toning mist:

The mist is a product I never thought I needed but I love spraying on as it is refreshing and hydrating. My definition of a toner always was that it is just a product we need to pay extra money for and that is nice to have but has no real benefit. Then I read about it some more and found out that many people state the toner would adjust the pH of the skin after cleansing it (and with this destroying the acidic skin layer we need to prevent entrance of bacteria). The pH is a very important marker and displays if our skin is more on the alkaline or the acidic site. So on the molecular level, the mist is doing a great job. And how does it feel? It definitely prepares the skin for a better uptake of the nourishing night cream and feels refreshing. The scent is not dominant, having a hint of rose to it.

If we now look at the ingredients, we see aloe vera at first position again, yay! Followed by: aqua, rosa damascena (rose) flower water*, salix nigra (willow bark) extract, populus tremuloides (aspen bark) extract, medicago sativa (alfalfa) extract*, sodium hyaluronate, argania spinosa (argan) leaf extract, oryza sativa (rice) seed extract*, camellia sinensis (white tea) leaf extract*, sodium PCA, glycerin, sodium levulinate, sodium anisate, maltodextrin, sodium benzoate.

So we have a mixture of plant extracts supporting the healing and refreshing benefits of aloe vera and the rose for its scent plus healthy features. Nothing to worry about or dislike here.

About the night cream:

The texture of the cream is very rich and at first you are surprised by how solid this is but if you gently rub your (clean!) fingertip in circular motion over the surface, the first layer melts and is easily applied to the face. I put the cream under my eyes, around my nose, on my cheeks and down my neck. Then I am good for the night. Especially because the scent is not in any way dominant, it is a comfortable smell like I can’t really describe. Just lovely.

If the first ingredients aren’t water or alcohol then I am very pleased! Now have a look at the first two ingredients: aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice*, argania spinosa (argan) oil* –> that is a well-formulated product. Definitely packed with only skin enhancing goodness like aloe vera and the valuable argan oil! Followed by: glyceryl stearate citrate, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl caprylate, pichia/resveratrol ferment extract, lactobacillus ferment, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, propanediol, vitis vinifera (grape) juice extract, glycerin*, water/aqua/eau, butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter*, sodium hyaluronate, disodium rutinyl disulfate, hordeum distichon extract, melissa officinalis extract, cetyl esters, rosa damascena (rose) flower oil*, pelargonium graveolens (geranium) leaf/flower oil*, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil*, citrus aurantium (petitgrain bigarade) leaf/bud oil, bisabolol, tanacetum annuum flower oil*, santalum spicatum (sandalwood) wood oil, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract*, sclerotium gum, p-anisic acid, xanthan gum

I have to say I would have never ever bought these products as the price is a little crazy with up to 105€ but partially I can understand the pricing as organic argan oil is something precious and the process of argan oil production is an UNESCO approved non-material cultural heritage and supports the women working in Morocco.

The cream lasts very long so you get a huge amount of product for your money. All in all I recommend these products from KAHINA Giving Beauty as I love applying them and the effect on my skin is something I don’t want to miss anymore.

Have a nice day, everyone ;*
