If you know me or at least have seen many of my pictures you know that I am no eyeshadow person. I never was, although I enjoy watching tutorials on how to achieve the 3 dimensional blended eye make up. Now, as I was gifted this palette on my birthday by a friend, I was confronted with using it, as I had this lying around on my desk.
And what can I say… the result was amazing! I just tried to imitate what I have seen on YouTube and it worked out quite well for me. Especially with these colours, that fit perfectly to my green eyes.
Alverde, as I said in other posts, is a well-known low-budget natural cosmetics brand available in a German drugstore all through the country. I started my green journey with products from them! They are a great brand to start with.
This palette is called “dark temptation“.
Look at these colours! All are quite shimmery, but not the intrusive way. I use them to create a smokey eye look. First I cover my lid up to my eyebrow with the light beige colour on the left. Then I choose, depending on the outfit, if I go with the 2nd or 3rd colour and follow my crease with a pointed brush. Everything has to be blended with the first colour so that no harsh lines or edges appear. Next I put on the black colour on the right onto the outer corner of my eye, following up a bit of the crease and extending the shade inward towards the middle of my lid. Blend, blend, blend. Finally I grab a tiny, narrow brush with an angular cut, dab that one into the black colour again and carefully press it under my lower lash line starting on the outer corner. You can try this with any brush you want, these here are just my recommendations.

Here are some swatches for you, where you can see which colour is shimmery and which is matte.
The colours from left to right below are: a shiny goldish copper shade, a green undertoned brown and a blue undertoned grey plus a black with glitter particles in gold.
I guess now I also have to make place for some more eyeshadows… and buy this one here repeatedly 😉
